There are many benefits to refreshing the mulch in your beds each season aside from the beautiful cosmetic appearance of freshly mulched beds.  When beds are properly prepped, and  mulch is spread to the proper depth, quality bark mulch adds nutrients to the soil and helps to protect roots from heat damage by conserving water and moderating temperatures. This is just one example of why mulch is as practical as it is attractive when properly installed.

Our mulch refreshment service includes properly prepping beds by removing dead or dying plants, organic debris, and weeding of the bed. To complete the prep process , we use a  combination of mechanical and hand edging as needed to provide the deep natural edge along the bed which helps to retain the mulch and moisture in the beds.  Once the prep has been completed completed, we rake through existing mulch to remove dead or rotted mulch and install new mulch in the color of your choice to a uniform depth of not less than 2".
